VIRGINIA WINE MONTH | CHAMBOURCIN HARVEST 🍷

Today, we’re harvesting our Chambourcin!

There’s a reason Chambourcin has found such a happy home here in Virginia. This French-American hybrid is well suited to our warm, humid growing conditions, with loose grape clusters that help resist bunch rot and a natural resilience to some of the vineyard diseases that can thrive in our climate.

And those beautiful, deep-colored grapes? They can produce equally beautiful wine. Chambourcin is known for its rich color, bright fruit character and notes that can range from cherry and raspberry to plum and subtle spice.

For us, Virginia Wine Month isn’t just about what’s in the glass. It’s about days like today, the vineyard, the harvest, the people behind it, and growing grapes right here on Virginia soil.

Another piece of the 2026 harvest coming off the vines at North Mountain.

Follow along as we continue sharing our harvest throughout Virginia Wine Month!
