Nestled in the heart of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, North Mountain Vineyard & Winery has been a beloved part of the landscape since 1982. All of our grapes are estate grown, and every bottle of wine is crafted right here on the property. Our winemaker works with intention and artistry, shaping wines that highlight the distinctive character of our vineyard’s terroir, elegant, expressive, and uniquely our own.
We welcome guests year-round, Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, for tastings, flights, and wine purchases. Groups and buses are always invited, and we’re happy to provide pricing for groups of ten or more.
Our winery building, inspired by charming European architecture, offers a beautiful setting for gatherings, celebrations, and special events. Step into our cozy Tasting Room complete with a glowing fireplace and enjoy a guided tasting of our estate wines. Just beyond, the Great Room offers old-world comfort with ample space to relax by the fire, sip a glass of wine, browse our gift shop filled with local artistry, or simply unwind with friends and family.
We are dog friendly, and we love meeting your four-legged companions. Pets on leash are welcome inside the winery, on our decks, and throughout our lawns. We only ask that you bring a water bowl to keep them comfortable.
Outside, expansive lawns, picnic areas, and flower gardens invite you to linger. Bring a picnic from home or enjoy our selection of prepackaged light fare available in the Tasting Room. On days with food trucks, we kindly ask guests to support the visiting vendor and enjoy their offerings—another way we celebrate our local community.
