Our Family Story

For many years, my husband Bob and I dreamed of building something meaningful, something rooted in family, tradition, and the simple joy of working the land. After raising our blended family of seven wonderful children in New Jersey, we longed for a life with more balance, more space to grow, and more opportunity for our family’s future. That dream eventually led us to Winchester, Virginia, where the Shenandoah Valley welcomed us with open arms and wide horizons.

In 2025, we became the proud third family to own North Mountain Vineyard & Winery, a historic estate established in 1982 and now the eighth-longest-running vineyard in Shenandoah County. From the moment we first stepped onto the property with its rolling vines, peaceful mountain views, and deep roots in Virginia winemaking we felt a connection that was impossible to ignore. This wasn’t just a business. It felt like home.

What drew us here went beyond the beauty of the land. It was the chance to build a legacy for our family our seven children, and now our seven grandchildren who inspire us every day. Together, we are a family-run winery in every sense of the word. Whether pouring tastings, tending the vines, or planning new dreams, our family’s hands and hearts are in every part of this journey.

As newcomers to the winemaking world but longtime believers in hard work and community, we are honored to continue the traditions started more than four decades ago. We are committed to producing wines that reflect the character of this unique valley and to preserving the heritage of the vineyard entrusted to us. Most importantly, we look forward to growing deep roots here just like the vines that have flourished on this land since 1982.

Our hope is that North Mountain Vineyard & Winery becomes not only a place where fine wines are crafted, but a place where memories are made. Where guests feel like family, and where our own family’s legacy continues to blossom for generations to come.

Welcome to our story. We can’t wait to share the next chapter with you.
